1. Onboarding Call

We will immediately send a link for you to book our onboarding meeting with your account manager. They will guide you through the next steps, how to send over materials, and answer any questions you may have.

2. Wireframe & Design

Once you have submitted all your materials, we will take you through 3 phases of design. Don’t worry, more edits can be made once your site is live!

3. Site Launch & Hosting Plan

Your site is launched, now you can market it! Congratulations! You will now need to set up a hosting plan that works for you! You can learn more about our hosting plans here.

Website FAQs

How long does it take to finish a website?

Each project is different, but on average we have a website launched within 4 to 6 weeks. This timeline can be longer or shorter depending on how proactive you are with assets and revisions.

Can you revise my current or finish my incomplete website?

Our answer is typically no, but you can always contact us to discuss your exact situation as there are some cases we can do that! We’ve found in most cases, it is cheaper to start over than it is to spend hours figuring out what has already been done.

What does "responsive web design" mean?

Responsive web design is a technique used to build a website that adapts its layout to fit the size of any device. With most web visits coming from mobile phones, we ensure your site is clean, responsive, and user-friendly no matter what screen size someone is on!

Are there any recurring costs involved with owning a website?

Yes, once your site is live you will need a hosting plans. Hosting plans keep your site secure, live, and functioning. All websites require a hosting plan and this can be a monthly or yearly cost. You can see our hosting plans here. Another recurring cost you will have is your domain. This is an annual fee to registar your domain name and keep it. The only other recurring costs that may come up are monthly or one-time maintenance items to keep your site up to date with the correct information for your business.

Will I have a main point of contact for my project?

Yes, you will have an account manager that you can always reach out to. While you may be working with some of our designers, content directors, marketing strategists, developers, and maybe even more, your account manager will always be there to be your main point of contact.

Can someone help me write content?

If you find yourself having difficulty writing your own content or running out of time to do it yourself, we’re happy to put you in touch with our content strategist or copywriter. They can help you with your entire site or just a few pages.

Why do you require 50% of content before starting the project?

There are a lot of upfront costs to get a website started. This deposit ensures both your party and ours are committed to making a great website!

Will you train me on how to use my website?

Yes, all our website plans come with some training. We will walk you through the backend and answer any questions you have during that time. If you ever feel you need or want more training, we are available for consultation at an hourly rate. We also record all training sessions so you can refer back to it anytime you need.

What is a visit?

Mondo determines which plan you require based on the amount of traffic to your site. Specifically, the number of “visits” to your site in a given month. We define a visit as a unique IP address in 24-hour period. Before we count them all up, we do our best to remove IP addresses from known bots, spammers, and attackers.

Is there a discount for yearly subscriptions?

Absolutely! If you sign up for an annual plan on Mondo, you’ll receive a 10% discount!

Does Mondo charge overages?

We do. Whether you get an unexpected influx in traffic or you need more storage as you’re adding more content, we want to support the growth of your site! So instead of throttling or shutting off sites, we charge simple overages based on the traffic you received and the storage you’re using. When your number of visits exceeds your plan limit, we charge a small overage for every 1,000 visitors over your limit. The overage cost is $1 per 1,000 extra monthly visitors. For instance, if you are on a Starter plan and receive 30,000 monthly visits, you’d receive an overage fee of $5. When your storage exceeds your limit, we charge an additional $1 for every GB you are over your limit. For instance, if you are on a Premium plan and are using 60GB of storage, you’d receive an overage fee of $10.

Why should I pay for managed hosting?

As a managed host, Mondo is going to take care of a bunch of the technical nitty-gritty stuff, so you can get back to doing what you love and growing your business. Here are the main tenets of what makes up a true managed WordPress host like Mondo:

Managed caching and performance: We handle caching for you at the server level, using super-fast servers, to begin with, and even work individually with our customers to further optimize their sites for the best performance. No plugins needed!
Managed security: We proactively scan and block malware and hacking attempts. We do all of this at the server level, without the need for any plugins or configuration on the part of the customer. And in the unlikely event that your site is hacked, we’ll fix it for you, free of charge.
Managed software updates: We’ll work with you to make sure your site is always running the latest and greatest WordPress software.
Expert WordPress support: Our team of experts goes above and beyond what nearly any other managed hosting company will help out with. From “hey, I need help, I have a serious problem!“, to “can you recommend a plugin for XYZ,” we’re here to help.
